About
Frank Bish provides business communications services. He's a sole proprietor, runs a lean-green operation, and doesn't advertise. His clients usually find him. It's what you'd expect after 30-years of building a reputation.
Frank was raised in San Diego, California in the (pop) culturally rich 1960s.
His communications work began in the airline industry supporting corporate affairs for a regional carrier (1979). He transferred his skills to interior design where he became the Marketing Director of a large California-based firm (1986). As part of his marketing strategy, he became a columnist for California Builder Magazine producing 2 columns.
Later he joined a communications and government relations agency working at local, state and federal levels (1990). He was active in community relations, fund-raising, elections, and crisis management.
Frank emigrated to Australia in 1994. He joined a Sydney-based communications agency serving the IT sector. He worked with Cisco, Toshiba, Sybase, 3Com, Memorex and other blue chip companies localizing into the Australian marketplace.
His work in IT continued with tenures in the web development and multimedia sectors (1998).
In 2002 he was engaged to provide ongoing management services to a specialist commercial photographer. He has completely revolutionized their business model and grown the business exponentially.
Frank also takes on special projects. He recently finished editing a text book on employee communications and has also consulted with an events company as they positioned and launched into a crowded marketplace. From 2006-2009 he was instrumental in launching an internal communications agency where he served as Manager and co-consultant.
Frank's professional journey has always been in consort with his life-long commitment to surfing and surf exploration. This passion began in the mid-1960s. It never stopped. Surf explorations began in the Caribbean, France, South Pacific, Australia and Hawaii. In the 1970s, South America, Africa and the Indian Ocean. Today, he enjoys the rewards of surfing vacant places in an increasingly populated world.
His professional work is deeply informed by his connection to surfing and the environment. This is exemplified in the purity and accuracy of his results.
“Business communications to both external and internal audiences is more than knowing what to communicate. It's knowing when to cease messaging and letting your actions, products and services do the communicating.”
